MLK Gateway is a two-phased project that will form the gateway from downtown DC to an emerging and revitalized Anacostia. 

 

These two phases connect the neighborhood's two major commercial corridors, Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Marion Barry Ave (Formerly Good Hope Rd). This project is a partnership between The Menkiti Group and DMPED.

 

Phase I of this two-phased project is 100% leased, occupied, and open for business! Phase I brought two new restaurants and a commercial bank and café to Anacostia and is home to approximately 350 office jobs.

Construction on Phase II is nearing completion.  This 2nd building is 90% pre-leased and will welcome new retail shops, restaurants, and amenities to the neighborhood.  DC’s Department of Housing and Community Development will be the anchor office tenant bringing foot traffic and new job activity to Anacostia.
